Former cabinet minister Sir David Davis has expressed his belief in Lucy Letby's innocence, citing reasonable doubts over her conviction and raising issues with the evidence used against her.
Sir David emphasized that many deaths occurred when Letby was not on duty, and questioned the selection of cases that fit her shift schedule, which could indicate other factors at play.
He highlighted that, according to post-mortem examinations, many of the children listed as murdered had died of natural causes, suggesting inaccuracies in the prosecution's findings.
Davis revealed that numerous neonatal doctors have reached out to him with alternative diagnoses for each child, further fueling his conviction that Letby is not guilty of the charges.
