This 104-Square-Foot City Kitchen's Makeover Maximizes Storage and Style

The biggest change was the addition of an island, which was a must-have for Christine's clients. They wanted to have more countertop space to use, along with the extra storage. One of the biggest challenges was that the floor wasn't changing since the granite was still in good shape. With that in mind, Christine added a small island in front of the windows.
Adding color was another priority for Christine's clients. While the white was functional, it wasn't very exciting. The two-tone solution with dark teal lower cabinets and a linen white for the upper cabinets makes the kitchen truly unique.
We added brass trim to the cabinet doors that gave a touch of elegance to the cabinets. And since we had a lot of elements going in the kitchen, we decided to go with a mirrored backsplash to keep it simple and to reflect more light.
