Local reports say the fire broke out at Bernie's Supervalu. There were reports of black smoke billowing from the scene and noxious fumes in the air."

Multiple units came from four Tipperary stations, from Roscrea, Nenagh, Templemore and Cloughjordan, with assistance from Birr in Co Offaly and a specialist 'high-reach' vehicle from Limerick. Around 30 firefighters tackled the blaze, which was still ongoing at 10am. The fire was largely under control by about 6am but firefighters are attending to burning embers. "We'll be there for a few hours yet," said a spokesperson at 10am."
