76% of patients in this study got a break on their medical bill. Here's how they did it
Briefly

My research showed that advocacy can yield significant financial relief. About 76% of patients who contacted their billing office received help with their unaffordable bills. This highlights the importance of taking action rather than assuming nothing can be done.
Despite the fact that 61% of respondents reached out to billing offices, a staggering 40% did not because they did not believe it would make a difference. This shows a critical gap in awareness regarding advocacy and negotiation.
