Inside election social media campaign costs as Labour outspends all parties combined

Labour has spent over 2.4 million on social media ads since the general election campaign began, more than twice the Tories. Sam Jeffers of Who Targets Me notes Labour's more diversified campaign approach through candidates and shadow front-bench individuals.
Labour is the only party that has invested significantly in Google advertising, with 831,000 spent. While Tories focused on ads via Conservative Party Facebook page, Labour spread spending across main party, regional groups, and candidate-specific pages.
