Irish children with scoliosis will continue to be referred to Great Ormond St Hospital where former surgeon is being investigated
Briefly

In an effort to reduce waiting lists for children with scoliosis, Children's Health Ireland is outsourcing suitable cases for spinal surgery to London hospitals, including Great Ormond Street.
Children's Health Ireland assures that there will be no disruption to the outsourced spinal patients despite the concerning incidents related to limb reconstruction surgeries by a former surgeon at Great Ormond.
Great Ormond Street Hospital has issued sincere apologies after a review revealed severe harm to some children under the care of surgeon Yaser Jabbar.
Of the 721 patients reviewed, 13 were found to have sustained severe harm and others endured chronic pain, with serious concerns raised about the quality of care.
