Hot air balloons to return to London sky for first time since Covid
Briefly

The Lord Mayor's Hot Air Balloon Regatta will take place on July 7, July 21 and July 28, with up to fifty hot air balloons flying across central London, aiming to raise awareness for the Lord Mayor's Appeal.
The Lord Mayor's Appeal, which has raised over £250,000 since 2015, focuses on making London more inclusive, healthy, skilled, and fair. The last Regatta in 2019 saw 46 balloons flying over landmarks like Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.
The event, led by Lord Mayor Michael Mainelli, provides a chance for people to view the hot air balloons from various central London locations, passing by iconic landmarks such as the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.
Previous editions were canceled due to COVID-19 and weather, with last year seeing cancellations in May and July. The Regatta aims to create a better London through its charitable efforts and unique hot air balloon spectacle.
