How a Studio Blackburn rebrand helped the Olympics Museum evolve without discarding its legacy
Briefly

Everyone has their interpretation of what the Olympics mean; we needed to establish an emotional connection with a vast audience by capturing the rich history through various iconic elements like medals, athletes, torches, and mascots.
Throughout the project, the challenge was to maintain alignment with the official Olympics brand guidelines, carefully selecting elements and ensuring flexibility in communications while preserving the museum's distinctiveness.
The studio chose Olympic Headline typeface for its Greek architecture inspiration and cleverly adapted it to resemble three pillars, highlighting the historic roots of the games, a small change that had a significant impact.
The decision to retain the museum's previous symbol with modifications allowed for its animation, color refinement, and alignment with typography, providing the versatility for the symbol and wordmark to work together or independently.
