A DFDS cross-Channel ferry accidentally screened a pornographic film on a Dieppe to Newhaven crossing. The film played on a single lounge TV after a passenger had requested to watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix, but the set was tuned to an adult channel instead. The content was described as "hardcore pornography." DFDS issued an apology, saying the incident caused understandable distress and anger and pledging it will not happen again. Crew members were reportedly unaware of the broadcast and changed the channel once informed. The adult channel has since been removed from available onboard stations.
