Citizens from the 27 EU countries elect the European Parliament (MEPs), the only multinational parliament in the world. There are 24 official EU languages in use despite the increasing use of English, allowing MEPs to express themselves in their native languages.
720 members will be elected in 2024, with seats distribution based on each country's population. Germany will elect the largest number (96) and Cyprus, Luxembourg, and Malta the smallest (6).
