A Maryland elementary school teacher, Matthew Schlegel, allegedly sexually assaulted at least eight girls in their third-grade classroom, molesting them by groping their private parts under desks or in front of other students.
Schlegel faces 36 charges, including second-degree assault and sex abuse of a minor, with witnesses claiming to have seen girls sitting on his lap during class.
