George Pickens remains unsigned beyond this season and could become a free agent when the market opens in March if no extension is reached. Pickens said contract decisions depend on Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and that he will focus on performing at his best. Dallas could apply the franchise tag at roughly $29 million, a move described as having "a strong likelihood." Pickens was a 2022 second-round pick who averaged about 16 games, 59 catches, 947 yards and four touchdowns per season in Pittsburgh and was traded to Dallas after behavioral concerns. He currently has 49 catches for 764 yards during a career year.
