The 140,000-person company, recently laying off a substantial amount of its workforce, seems to be in a near-complete hiring freeze, with only three job positions available on Tesla's job board after over 3,400 were previously open in U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
Tesla's Supercharger team leaders revealed that about 500 employees, including the entire group, were let go by Musk, affecting the department responsible for the electric vehicle charging network, following a series of layoffs in different areas of the company.
