The Ontario NDP is reconsidering candidate nominations in Hamilton Centre, including potentially reinstating Sarah Jama, who was expelled last year due to controversy surrounding the Israel-Hamas war.
The party leader said Jama's actions 'undermined our collective work and broken the trust of her colleagues,' leading to her expulsion from the caucus.
Jama has since declared her intention to run independently in the next election. 'Come out to the Nomination Meeting on September 12th from 7-9 PM at the Worker's Art & Heritage Centre!'
NDP's provincial director mentioned, 'It is not unusual for the executive to request a report from staff on any number of matters,' emphasizing the party's strategy discussions ahead of elections.
