Nicaragua frees a jailed Catholic bishop and 18 priests, hands them to the Vatican
Nicaragua's government has released a prominent Catholic bishop and 18 other clergy members who were imprisoned as part of a crackdown by President Daniel Ortega.
The releases were part of negotiations with the Vatican aimed at facilitating their trip to the Vatican.
